Individual Therapy

As a woman, I believe your issues and the way you relate with others are important.  In sessions, you’ll be given the opportunity to fully express yourself and feel heard.  For, I see therapy as a collaborative process.

It’s important that your individual therapy sessions are a safe place conducive to understanding, growth and discovery.  In your therapy I will utilize traditional talk therapy which may also be combined with other modalities, such as guided imagery, meditation, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Shadow exploration, Coaching, journaling, movie or book suggestions, or recommendations for alternative body work treatments.

Therapy isn’t always easy. That’s why the women who work with me tend to be motivated women with good insight, who are willing to get their boots dirty at times as we walk through the mud together, in the process of transition and transformation.

Therapy may not be for you right now if:

  • You’re comfortable where you are.
  • You’d rather complain than do things differently.
  • You don’t value the process of personal growth.
  • You are unable to commit to showing up on time or keep appointments.

Divorce Support

Divorce is one of the biggest decisions you can make in your life.   Ending a marriage is a serious choice.  As an experienced therapist, I provide support for a woman before, during and/or after divorce.

Before:  In therapy, you will be given support and guidance on looking at all of the angles and options, so that you can feel good about your decision.

During: Know that you have a safe place and someone who understands, to talk to as you go through your divorce process.  Feeling empowered during this time is very important, as you will be faced with many decisions that will affect you and possibly children, for years to come.

After: Picking up the pieces after divorce can take time.  Reentering the world as a single woman, or single parent may feel overwhelming.  Questions such as, “Should I date again?” may arise.

This is a wonderful time for supportive counseling in therapy.  You can discover more of who you are, who you want to be and set goals, receive some coaching and create a life that feels balanced.

Nutrition and Wellness Coaching

Everybody is different and every body is different as well.

On a daily basis we are told one thing is good for us and another is not.  Then, it changes.  It isn’t always an easy job.

Your wellbeing and the foods you choose are important.  However, they must be the right balance for you, your body and your lifestyle.

When working with clients, I incorporate the many facets of a woman’s busy life into her nutritional balance. This is about more than food.  It’s about your life.

As a Certified Health Coach, I offer individual sessions, or at times group coaching, on Integrative Nutrition & Wellbeing.  Or if appropriate, the Integrative Nutrition work may also be interwoven within individual therapy sessions.

If you’re ready to feel healthier, experience more energy, and become positively connected to your body without going on some fad diet or giving up all of your favorite foods, then we should talk.

Forest Therapy Walks

In-person Forest Therapy walks, also called Forest Bathing walks, are 2 -3 hour slow, gentle walks in natural areas. Through the use of invitations, you are given the opportunity to create a deeper connection to the more-than-human-world, to others and ultimately, to yourself. Research has proven that Forest Bathing has been found to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase mood and provide an overall sense of positive wellbeing. This is not about hiking or exercising. It’s about slowing down, being present and experiencing your natural surroundings.

Forest Bathing walks are available for individuals, groups or as participation in a Forest Bathing walk class.
